May. 2nd, 2004 04:13 amPeople are strange
When you're a stranger
Faces look ugly
When you're alone
Women seem wicked
When you're unwanted
Streets are uneven
When you're down
When you're strange
Faces come out of the rain
When you're strange
No one remembers your name
When you're strange
When you're strange....
When you're a stranger
Faces look ugly
When you're alone
Women seem wicked
When you're unwanted
Streets are uneven
When you're down
When you're strange
Faces come out of the rain
When you're strange
No one remembers your name
When you're strange
When you're strange....
Which version?

Date: 2004-05-02 11:13 am (UTC)I guess I do like Echo and the Bunnymen's version best. I used to listen to the "Lost Boys" soundtrack 20 times a day. Though I am still a big Doors fan.

Date: 2004-05-02 09:50 pm (UTC)I went to see the movie when it first came out with a girl on a kind of date. We had been penpals and I think she thought when we met it was going to develop. I, however, certainly had other ideas. She said to me after the movie, "so what did you think of the soundtrack?". I said I loved it and the movie was brilliant too. She then gave me the tape and tried to kiss me. Not going to happen! The problem was that I was staying at her place for the next week and had to put up with "Teenage angst" for the next week. (I was 16 and about 800km from home). I still love the movie (I have it on DVD) and the soundtrack (CD) so it must be good not to have put me off.
As for the Doors if I am in the mood I love them but for some reason I rarely listen to them anymore. Echo and the Bunnymen on the other hand are one of my favourite bands.
You may be able to help here, the singer (on the soundtrack) Lou Gramm, now was he the guy who sang that awesome 80's song "Midnight Blue"? (It goes something like..."It's either cherry red or it's midnight blue" - Be thankful M'Dear that you cant hear me sing via email *lol*.

Date: 2004-05-03 08:34 am (UTC)Anyway, I went out with my son today and we went out to Shipley Glen on a tram ride and as we got off I heard some bloke saying, "Is that Sue?"...he repeated a few times to this group of lads he was with and I felt too shy to look at him...I didn't recognise his voice and I felt a little freaked out by it...like I'd been "spotted"...I dunno...when you're strange...
