People are strange
When you're a stranger
Faces look ugly
When you're alone
Women seem wicked
When you're unwanted
Streets are uneven
When you're down

When you're strange
Faces come out of the rain
When you're strange
No one remembers your name
When you're strange
When you're strange....

Which version?

Great song but are we talking the Doors or are we talking Echo and the Bunnymen? Echo's version is the best in my mind (well Echo was actually the drum machine so I should have said the Bunnymen's but I am strange). I have good news I got the cassette tape today and will be taping tomorrow...told you I wouldn't let you down and then I will be closer to the centre of your mind drawing...heehee. By the way I was going to fill in your questionnaire but I was afraid of incriminating myself so I didn't ;)

I have to agree w/ Curefreak also- Echo's version of "All You Need is Love" is the best! Cheers!!!

Ah don't worry about incriminating yourself. I do it on a daily basis. That rocks about the tape!

I guess I do like Echo and the Bunnymen's version best. I used to listen to the "Lost Boys" soundtrack 20 times a day. Though I am still a big Doors fan.

Yeah, I guess I agree too. I don't think I ever noticed before, but I do have a preference.

Reading those lyrics just makes me want to watch Lost Boys.

I absolutely LOVE the "Lost Boys" soundtrack. The only songs I can't stand are Good times and Laying down the law. They kind of don't fit in and seem to be in there simply to attract the "Aussie audience". I don't mind some INXS and some Jimmy Barnes but I am not a huge fan of either.
I went to see the movie when it first came out with a girl on a kind of date. We had been penpals and I think she thought when we met it was going to develop. I, however, certainly had other ideas. She said to me after the movie, "so what did you think of the soundtrack?". I said I loved it and the movie was brilliant too. She then gave me the tape and tried to kiss me. Not going to happen! The problem was that I was staying at her place for the next week and had to put up with "Teenage angst" for the next week. (I was 16 and about 800km from home). I still love the movie (I have it on DVD) and the soundtrack (CD) so it must be good not to have put me off.
As for the Doors if I am in the mood I love them but for some reason I rarely listen to them anymore. Echo and the Bunnymen on the other hand are one of my favourite bands.
You may be able to help here, the singer (on the soundtrack) Lou Gramm, now was he the guy who sang that awesome 80's song "Midnight Blue"? (It goes something like..."It's either cherry red or it's midnight blue" - Be thankful M'Dear that you cant hear me sing via email *lol*.

I credit "The Lost Boys", both the movie and the soundtrack for making me weird.

I have just finished taping "Curiosity" Cure anomalies 1977 - 1984 for you. On the end of side A I have put a few (not for) radio skits that I have that will give you an idea of what I find funny and probably make you feel Oh so normal ;). What would you like on Side B. I was thinking I could put PULP (the band) on there but you may not like them the way I do, or you may have all there stuff. They are not very well known here in OZ and I don't know about the U.S. Let me know.

I saw Echo and the Bunnymen in 1984, I believe and they were amazing live. Not only that, this bloke, I adored was there...I spent the gig hanging out with him so it was a double bonus!!!!
Anyway, I went out with my son today and we went out to Shipley Glen on a tram ride and as we got off I heard some bloke saying, "Is that Sue?"...he repeated a few times to this group of lads he was with and I felt too shy to look at him...I didn't recognise his voice and I felt a little freaked out by it...like I'd been "spotted"...I dunno...when you're strange...

Ah surprise me. Whatever you prefer. Just tell me what it is that's on it, so I'm not like, "wow, this is cool, what is it?" Heh.

Will do. Years ago I got this really wild Ska tape from this girl and she had all these tracks and didn't even say who they were by and to this day I still don't know.
