Jul. 1st, 2007 01:27 pmIt's almost New Orleans around here. The East Side of town has been evacuated. It's driving me mad that so many people I know, including peeps on LJ, have had their homes flooded. Michael and I went to a party at a friend's house last night and drove past our old home. Yeah. It's a good thing we moved. The flooding hasn't reached the house yet, but it's at the end of the street. It's crazy. We stopped at Albertson's and ran into a friend who was going to get drunk because his home had flooded. I feel very lucky to only have standing water in my backyard after so many people have lost everything. We're not completely in the clear yet, though. More rain is expected.

The water is now in the Holliday Inn

Scotland Park

The bridge at the duck pond at Lucy Park, where I used to take the boys all the time.

Good bye Lucy Park

I guess the ducks have flown or swam away.....

Anyone trying to swim in this is fucking nuts.

A lonely bench

Terrace and Fillmore. Just a few blocks from our old house.

Bridge over Gordon Lake in Iowa Park

A house on Eastside

The inside

Inside

Someone REALLY had to go.
