morrigan716Yesterday I planned on going to the mall with my sister for the sole purpose of getting her glasses adjusted at TSO. We mentioned it to my mom, who said, "Why don't you both just go by yourselves?" We said that's what we had planned. But right before we left, she told us to take the boys so she could sleep. Taking 3 little boys to the mall, 2 of which can't go for 5 minutes without beating each other up, is no easy task. A trip that should have taken 30 minutes ended up taking 2 hours. The kids were actually pretty decent acting so we let them ride the merry-go-round. Then as an extra reward we decided to take them to Petco since I needed a cat scratch pad anyway. They were horrible in the car, but pretty good in the store. They looked at the animals and I got them each a Coke and a toy from the "gumball" machines. They still managed to act like deprived children who never get anything.
After the lovely trip, I went to my job interview and was hired. I start Wednesday. I'll probably get fired soon though because they pretty much said that they have no sympathy for you if you have to go to the doctor or something horrible happens to your kids or something.
Tonight I went to Backdoor with Heather to see "Steel Magnolias". It was not quite as good as I was expecting, but I did enjoy myself. I cried and laughed. Then afterwards, we went to Toby's and lowered our self esteems by managing to be 2 single women alone in a bar and not get hit on. Well, Toby's is a preppy bar and me and Heather are not exactly sorority sisters.
