Dammit! How do you insert a friend's link in your entry so that only the fucking name shows up? Yet another issue that makes me feel ancient.

you type this:

{a href="http://www.linktotheirjournal.com"}the name you want here{/a}

but, for the purposes of the html thing actually showing up on your page...i had to use {}...but those should be replaced with < or > depending on direction.
