For the last week or so (and maybe longer, really) I've been going to my parents' house and spraying my stuff - my hat, my scarf, my sweater - with my mother's perfume. I just find the smell reassuring - it's the smell of my mother - and this week I've needed a lot of reassurance.

I have this friend that I haven't seen for a while and every time I see her, she's been acting really distant. I was starting to take personally but then on Friday, I saw her husband in his car in the Industrial Car Park near my house. He works nights, so just that fact alone that he was out at that time of the morning on the other side of town from where they live was odd enough. But then as soon as he saw me, he drove off in a hurry, pretending not to see me. I think he's having an affair but I don't think I'll tell my friend as I have no proof. This isn't the only reason I think that, just things she told me before she become "distant." Like how he'd pop out for some milk and be gone for three hours, etc. But being a selfish cow, I felt strangely relieved knowing that I'm obviously not the problem, he is!!!
