I just weighed in for the day, and I'm 178! And that's after cheating immensely with tons of caffeine and a little alchol. So is the moral to the story to cheat on your diet?

I never have understood the anti-caffeine stance of many diets. I know for a fact I lose weight better when I have caffeine than when I don't. Me personally, I don't do well on any extreme one way or another. My metabolism does best when I limit the white fluffy stuff (i.e. carbs) but not when I cut them out completely.

I am so glad for your success, though! It is all about staying the course despite the plateaus! *hug*

I think that may be my problem. I've been having hardly any carbs at all except for vegetables and I'm supposed to be working more of them in gradually. Of course I'm limited as far as time to prepare meals right now, but after next week I won't.

I don't know why the caffeine limit is in all diets. Most people I know cheated and still lost. I've limited caffeine, except for the last few days when I was exhausted, when I went back to the abnormally high amount I used to have. What can I say? It gives me energy.

I'm doing well about not cheating with food, except that lately I'm really craving a big glass of chocolate milk!

yeah, I've been craving dairy like crazy! Yogurt and chocolate milk. I let myself have it when I crave it. I figure it's my body trying to tell me something, and it's not like I'm having a half a chocolate cake, which is what I normally crave. :)
